Private Colleges & Universities magazine has established a scholarship administered by the Private Colleges & Universities Scholarship Foundation to help capable multicultural students finance their education at a private college or university. Applications are welcome from all eligible candidates. Each application will be reviewed carefully, and from all applications received, up to five (5) winners will be chosen.

Any student of color who is currently a resident of the U.S. or its territories and who plans to enroll as a freshman in a baccalaureate degree program in Fall 2009 at one of the colleges and universities listed on our website (www.privatecolleges.com) is eligible.

Apply now for a Private Colleges & Universities Community Service Multicultural Student Scholarship by filling out the Application Form. The deadline is April 1, 2009. Photocopies of the form are acceptable. From among those who apply, semi-finalists and winners will be selected on the basis of their academic merit (as reflected in their transcript, class rank, and GPA) and on their service to their community. Please refer to the next section for a list of the materials that must be sent with the Application.

• Send a statement of your community service activities - include your involvement in activities, fundraisers, volunteer work in outreach programs, hospitals, or shelters; participation in political campaigns; or community initiatives such as beautification or recycling.
